Welcome to Christ Church South Devon!
The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday afternoon.
THE 3:30 SERVICE
We meet at Plymstock Chapel (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 3:30pm. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team who will be in the entrance foyer.
Our service will include lively music and prayer. The centre of all our services is the Bible, because we believe it is God's message to us containing everything we need to know for salvation (being brought into God's eternal family) and the Christian life (living as part of God's eternal family). Near the start of the service we will usually have a short all-age Bible input, and the children's groups will be open during the second half of the service.

CHILDREN'S GROUPS
Throughout our Sunday services we have a crèche area open for all pre-schoolers at the back of the hall. Parents must supervise their children at all times in this area.
During the second half of the service we have children's groups for Foundation to Year 4 and Year 5 to Year 9. These both take place in the back hall, accessible via the door at the back of the main hall. The kids group activities vary depending on the age but usually there is a friendly welcome, Bible stories, prayer, craft, fun games and free play. Children will re-join the service for the final songs, so please be prepared to meet your child at the door when the service leader indicates.

Getting involved
HOMEGROUPS
As Christians we are called to encourage one another and spur one another on towards mature faith in Christ (see Colossians 1:28 and Hebrews 10:24-25). One great way to do this is by joining a homegroup. Our groups meet every two weeks for prayer, encouragement and time studying the Bible. They are brilliant opportunities to dive deep into a Bible passage and wrestle together with how it applies to our lives. They are also wonderful places to build friendships with other members of the church family, to pray for one another and support one another.
Check out Small Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.
